Okay, so honestly, I think the NBA All-Star Game is one of the lamest spectacles in all of sports. It is a chance for all the overpaid, underachieving NBA players to get together, play no defense and put on an circus show of a game, with all of America watching. That said, I was pretty excited for this years game seeing as I never get to see my Jazz play, and they were pretty well represented in the festivities. The Jazz were not well represented in the actual main event, seeing as Deron Williams got the shaft as usual. But Carlos Boozer was selected to play. I might add, he played far fewer minutes than anyone else on the West team, but was one of only 2 players with a double-double. Ronnie Brewer and Paul Milsap took part in the Rookie Sophemore challenge, and both did well.

The most exciting event for me was the Playstation Skills Challenge where Deron Williams was competing against Jason Kidd, Chris Paul and Dwayne Wade (how's that for competition?). The players made their way through an obstacle course where they dribbled, passed and shot, trying to achieve the fastest time. All four players participate in the first round, and then the 2 best times advance to the finals. It was quite fitting that the final round was between Deron Williams and his nemesis, Chris Paul. Deron went through the course in record time to win the title, and took Chris Paul to school once again. It was another great performance by the ever amazing Deron Williams!

Here is the video of the record setting round.
